Well done to all memebers for their outstanding performance of "Without You" on 26th June. You pulled at the heart-strings of the audience (and the director!) with fantastic dramatic tension and really showed the power of theatre.

We look forward now to the rehearsals and performance of "A World Apart" Can we top "Without You?" Only time will tell ;-)

HALF TERM WORKSHOP

Hi All,

We're holding a workshop for 13 -16 year olds in Hodge Hill this half-term.

Wednesday 27th May Drama / Music

Thursday 28th May Dance

The workshops will be run by Melanie Clarke and Vicky Hawkesford, specialist in street dance and Capoiera.

The workshops run from 11 - 3 on both days and are at Beaufort Sports & Social Club, Coleshill Road, Birmingham.

WELL DONE GIRLS!

Our performance of Alice in Wonder took place at the Dovehouse Theatre in Solihull 0n 28th March. It was a brilliant show with all cast members acting up a storm. Natalie's "Queen of Hearts" was a comic masterpiece as were "Tweedle-Dum & Tweedle-Dee", our unlikely twin duo! Well done all. The only sad note was that it was one night only! The Hodge Hill Constituency is hosting its first talent show for young people aged 11-25. Well done to our members who attended the first audition on Thursday 29th January.
I was very proud! I think we’re the ones to beat now….!
We’re now awaiting a phone call to see if any
of the three acts that auditioned get through. There are great cash prizes and also help and professional support for
winners and runners up. It’s also a great chance to showcase the talent we have in the group.

Well done girls!!!

Just got back from auditioning for the "Music In Da Manors / Hodge Hill's Got Talent" showcase. Despite a huge amount of nerves from some of the girls, you all did me proud! A Stomping street dance performance from Sueman (no nerves there, took it in her stride and then celebrated with a massive bar of chocolate! After hyperventilating, a lovely audition from our duet and a brave sketch from our trio....now..... it's good luck to our members auditioning next week.......

New play "Alice in Wonder"

Welcome to the blog of Innov8 Youth Theatre!

We're a youth theatre for young people aged 12 - 18 based in Hodge Hill Birmingham. We've been running for around a year and a half and we hold weekly Saturday workshops where we learn Theatre skills, devise and rehearse plays and share ideas. It's all about creating a bit of Drama!

We're about to perform our third production, "Alice in Wonder" a modern adaptation with a twist. The performance is on Sunday 7th December at The Firs club, Shawsdale Road, Castle Bromwich, B36 8NE. For more info or tickets, email us.
